College to show student photos


Western Nevada College presents "Passage," a collection of work by advanced digital photography students, today until Jan. 11. A reception to meet the artists is 4:30-6:30 p.m. today.

CHS band giving concert this evening


The Carson High School Band will have a free holiday concert 7 p.m. today at the Carson Community Center, 851 E. William St. The concert will feature the Jazz Band, Wind Ensemble and the Concert Band. Refreshments will be served.

Affordable screenings offered


Affordable Lab Screenings at the Community Health Check Fair on Tuesday. Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center offers affordable lab screenings on the second Tuesday of each month. Doctor's orders are NOT required. Screenings include: Comprehensive Metabolic and Lipid Panel, Prostate Specific Antigen, Complete Blood Count, Thyroid Stimulating Hormone, and Hemoglobin A1c.
