'The Peanutcracker' Saturday at center
"The Peanutcracker" will be presented by Sierra Nevada Ballet 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday at the Carson City Community Center; 851 E William St.
Based on "The Nutcracker," this 45-minute version is a shorter, narrated version designed for families with younger children to introduce them to the wonderful world of ballet. $10 all seating; $5 discount for BAC members, seniors, and students. Positive Energy fundraiser Thursday
Positive Energy, Acrobatics & Dance Studio will host a "Christmas Show of Support," to raise funds for a new facility 5 - 8 p.m. Thursday at the Brewery Arts Center, Ballroom, 449 W. King St. There will be food, music, dancing and a silent auction to raise funds for a new facility, in the wake of the Connected Church fire, which occurred Dec. 2. Suggested donation $10.
