Carson City

Meiser acting method classes available

Wild Horse Productions presents a six-week introductory class on the Meiser method of acting. This class is for adult students (17 and older) and will be held 6:30-8:30 p.m. Jan. 17-Feb. 28 at the Children's Museum of Northern Nevada.

Driver-education classes registering

Western Nevada College will offer two sessions of its 30-hour driver-education course during the holiday break. Classes are 8:30 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. Dec. 26-29 or Jan. 2-5. Learn how to take a great headshot

Wild Horse Productions is offering a Headshot and Resumé Workshop for adults and children 6:30-8 p.m. Jan. 8.

This 90-minute workshop will explain the basics of taking a good headshot and creating a winning resume. The cost of the workshop is $60.

'Romeo and Juliet' auditions scheduled

The Proscenium Players Inc. announces auditions for "Romeo and Juliet" at 7 p.m. Jan. 7 at the Brewery Arts Center Performance Hall, 511 W. King St.

Reno Chamber group to offer concerts

The Reno Chamber Orchestra presents the fourth annual Nevada Chamber Music Festival Dec. 28-31, seven concerts featuring renowned musicians from around the world performing the masterworks of chamber music.

The festival will be at South Reno United Methodist Church, 200 DeSpain Lane, and the University of Nevada, Reno's Nightingale Concert Hall.
