All Western Nevada College campuses and learning centers will be closed on Tuesday, and Jan. 1, in observance of the Christmas and New Year's Day holidays.

Nugget serves free meals for Christmas

Another Christmas tradition continues as the Carson Nugget, since 1957, will offer free meals on Christmas to those who otherwise may not be able to afford one. The Carson Nugget is at 507 N. Carson St.

These free meals will be available from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Coffee Shop. Guests need only sign their check and tell the cashier, "I am a guest of the Nugget today."

Bus trip to Reno for show planned

Douglas County Senior Services will sponsor a trip to Harrah's in Reno Jan. 13 to see "Greg London's ICONS."

The cost of the evening is $45 and includes dinner, show and transportation. Reservations will be taken starting Monday; tickets are limited.

Brewery Arts Center releases winter, spring class schedules

The Brewery Arts Center presents its Winter and Spring class schedule, with new classes in pottery and children's theater.

The Brewery has added a hand building pottery workshop taught by Sharon Randall. She is also teaching an Advanced Pottery Class.

The BAC Stage Kids now offers "The Perfect Audition," a workshop designed to help kids give the best audition they can.

The class is taught by Rich Garrett. Garrett is the newly appointed drama instructor at Pau Wa Lu Middle School in Douglas County. He has more than 20 years of theatrical experience.

The Brewery Arts Center is at 449 W. King St. Sign-up for classes available at the office, by calling 883-1976.
