Special services in celebration of Christmas in Carson City are being held.

St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Community will hold Christmas Eve Masses at 4 p.m. (Children's Mass), a 6 p.m. Family Mass and 10 p.m. Mass today.

On Christmas Day, Masses will be held at 9 and 11 a.m. with a bilingual Mass held at 1 p.m.

First Christian Church will hold a Candlelight Communion service at 6 p.m. today at the church's temporary home, 2211 Mouton Drive.

First Baptist Church will hold a 6 p.m. is Christmas Eve Candlelight Service.

First Presbyterian Church, at the corner of Musser and Division streets, will hold services at 5 and 7 p.m. today for Christmas Eve in the Family Life Center.

All Christmas Eve services held at First United Methodist Church are candle-lit.

Children and family service is at 4:30 p.m.; family traditional service is at 7 p.m.; traditional service at 9 p.m., and communion service is at 11 p.m.

Child care is available at 4:30 and 7 p.m.; The Gathering Band performs and Junior Choir perform at 4:30 p.m.; Chancel Choir, Hosanna Handbells and special music at 7 and 9 p.m., Chancel Choir, special music and communion at 11 p.m.
