Salvatore 'Sal' Zuccarello

A funeral for Salvatore "Sal" Zuccarello, 88, a 31-year Carson City resident, will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley. A viewing will be 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at Walton's.

Mr. Zuccarello died Feb. 2, 2007, in Carson City.

He was born Aug. 21, 1918, in Lawrence, Mass., to Antonio and Angelina Zuccarello.

He married Lillian Zuccarello on Nov. 2, 1973, in Las Vegas.

Before moving to Carson City, he lived in San Jose, Calif.

Mr. Zuccarello enjoyed cooking, bowling, fishing and travel.

He was a member of St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Tom Zuccarello and sister Jenny Blatti.

Among his survivors are his wife of Carson City; son, Richard Zuccarello of San Jose; granddaughters Dana Martinez of Santa Clara, Calif., and Stacey Korner of Pennsylvania; sister Josie Giaquinta of Massachusetts; and six great-grandchildren.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
