Rep. Dean Heller, R-Nev., has named Verita Black Prothro as his district director.
Prothro has served in the same position for the past six years for Sen. John Ensign, R-Nev.
Heller said she brings "a wealth of knowledge and experience to my office and the people in my congressional district will benefit greatly from her years of service."
Prothro is a native Nevadan and an alumnus of the University of Nevada, Reno. Before working for Sen. Ensign she was the communications manager for the National Judicial College at UNR.
She will officially take over management of Heller's district office Monday.
