A memorial service for Deena D. Albrecht, 84, a 35-year Carson City resident, will be 1 p.m. Friday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley.

Mrs. Albrecht died Feb. 5, 2007, in Carson City. She was born Dec. 27, 1922, in Toronto, to Nicholas Speal and Anastasia Geracimo.

Before moving to Carson City, Mrs. Albrecht lived in Castro Valley, Calif.

She had a bachelor's degree in nursing from a college in Canada and had worked for Carson-Tahoe Hospital as a registered nurse for 10 years.

She belonged to the Greek Orthodox Church of Reno.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Albrecht, in 1998.

Among her survivors are her stepson, Jeff Albrecht of San Ramon, Calif.; son Steve A. Albrecht of Elko; sisters Gay Risk of Montreal, and Mary Speal of Kineston, Ontario, and brother George Speal of Kingston, Ontario.

Cremation and inurnment will take place at Walton's Carson Gardens Cemetery with her husband.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
