James Farrington Burton, 79, a Carson City resident, died Feb. 11, 2007, in Carson City.

Mr. Burton was born June 14, 1927, in Patterson, N.J., to James Farrington Burton and Lillian Mansmen.

Before moving to Carson City, Mr. Burton lived in Long Beach, Calif.

He was a quality control inspector for Garrett Air Research in California, and served in the U.S. Navy.

He was a member of St. Teresa of Avila Church.

He enjoyed making candy wreaths, which he donated to community churches, charities and friends.

Among his survivors are his wife, Roberta Burton; daughter ,Susan Clay of Carson City; sons James Burton of Oregon and Douglas Burton of Moreno Valley, Calif.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A private service was held.

FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
