Meet Biden at Comma


Presidential candidate Sen. Joe Biden will address Carson City Democrats in one of his first Nevada campaign appearances at 9:30 a.m. today at Comma Coffee, 312 S Carson St.

Biden will be in Carson City to participate in the first-in-the-nation Carson City Presidential Forum. The forum will be held at noon Wednesday at the Carson City Community Center.




NARFE to hear Indian speaker today


National Active and Retired Federal Employees Chapter 1329 will meet at 11:30 a.m. today for a luncheon at Grandma Hattie's, 2811 S. Carson St. The business meeting is at 12:15 p.m. Guest speaker is Sheri Rupert, executive director of the Nevada Indian Commission. Call 884-2724 or 246-0926.


Comedian of Year to perform at WNCC


Buzz Sutherland, winner of 16 different Comedian of the Year awards, will appear to perform a free comedy show at 7 p.m. tonight at WNCC's Marlette Hall. Snacks and refreshments will be provided. Red Rose to perform for Fat Tuesday


Red Rose will perform from 7 - 9 p.m. tonight at Stew's Sportatorium, 302 N. Carson St., in the Lucky Spur, in honor of Mardi Gras. Participants are invited to wear Mardi Gras masks and enter a drawing. For information, call 882-7787.

St. Teresa to host crab feed March 2


St. Teresa of Avila Catholic School will host its benefit Crab Feed 6 - 11 p.m. March 2 at St. Teresa Church, 3000 N. Lompa Lane in Chartz Hall. "Crab Claws for a Good Cause" is an adult-only evening filled with live music by Red's Ramblers Band, dancing and a silent auction. Tickets are $40 by calling 882-2079.
