Wildhorse has perch derby set for Sunday, March 10

There will be a one day, perch, ice-fishing derby held at Wildhorse Reservoir in Northern Elko County on Saturday, March 10.

Entry is $25 per person.

Top three perch (by length) will split the total pot: 40% for, 30% for second and 20% for third.

There is currently two feet of ice on the reservoir.

The reservoir limits are five trout, 10 mountain whitefish and 15 warmwater game fish, of which not more than one may be black bass (the minimum size for black bass is 15 inches).

There is no limit on perch at this reservoir.

The Wildhorse season is open year round, any hour of the day or night.
