A funeral for Willis D. Drew, 95, a one-year Carson City resident, will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley with the No. 1 Carson Masonic Lodge officiating.

Mr. Drew died Feb. 25, 2007, in Carson City. He was born May 28, 1911, in Sacramento, to Napoleon B. Drew and Carolyn Montross.

He married Alice Thorson on Aug. 21, 1934, in San Francisco, Calif.

Before moving to Carson City, Mr. Drew lived in Dayton for two years, and Sacramento for more than 50 years.

He was a graduate of Stanford University. He owned and operated Drew's Real Estate in Sacramento for 50 years as a real estate broker.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

He belonged to the Masonic Lodge and Shriners in Sacramento.

He was preceded in death by his wife on Dec. 15, 2006, in Carson City; a brother and a sister.

Among his survivors are his son and daughter-in-law Dennis and Darlene Drew of Stagecoach; daughter Nancy R. Drew of Sacramento; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Burial will take place at Walton's Carson Garden's Cemetery's Garden of Peace.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
