Carson Bulldogs win their tournament

The Carson Bulldog Wrestling Club won the title in the Carson City Team Tournament of Champions held Sunday at Carson High. Of the 329 wrestlers at the event 54 Carson wrestlers medaled. Those who medaled for Carson were:

First - Gabriel Lee, Trenten Robison, Brady O'Keefe, Nolan Shine, Sullivan Cauley, Nevin Elliott, Nicholas Lani, Kyle Sharp, Willy McDonald, Caleb Jeffers, Ricky McDonald.

Second - A.C. Garcia, Brandon Basa, Dawson Breuer, Brady Rodina, Marcus Gallegos, Cody Cunningham, Kaleb Wold, Jordan Luhrs, Cole McCarthy.

Third - Luis Loe, Buddy McDonald, Jack Williams, Aaron Chester, Blake Snyder, Shea Brewer, Bryce Moyle, Tristian Bakkedahl, Christian Tercero, Patrick Craugh, Will McLaughlin, Dillon Spates, Brent Moyle.

Fourth - Ethan Lepire, Richard Stock, Colby Brown, Cole Catlin, Treston Fowler, Dagen Kipling, Nolan Sheldon, Robby Easton, Nick Mohlenkamp, Seth Trivitt, Austin Brown.

Fifth - Kye Catlin, Tanner Garza, Jake Alferes, Cody Carpenter, Nicolas Garcia.

Sixth - Gavin Bakkedahl, Mateo Bilyeu, Austin Kiesow, Dillon Winkelman.

At the tournament there were 18 teams representing the Sierra Wrestling Association (SWA) and three other teams from Northern California. Greenwave Wrestling Club of Fallon, placed second, the Reed Raiders placed third and Northwest Reno took home fourth

Rasner to be at Little League signup

New York Yankees pitcher and 1999 Carson High graduate Darrell Rasner will appear at the Carson City Little League signups to be held from 9-11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 27 at the Carson City Community Center lobby.

Rasner, a former Carson City Little League player himself, went 3-1 with a 4.43 earned run average last year for the Yankees.
