A funeral service for Jason Carl Walker, 36, a 25-year resident of Gardnerville, will be 11 a.m. Thursday at the Dresslerville Colony gym.
Mr. Walker died Jan. 19, 2007, in Gardnerville.
He was born Dec. 4, 1970, in Schurz to Charles Walker Sr. and Nadine Toby-Walker.
Before coming to Gardnerville he lived at Woodfords.
Mr. Walker attended school in Douglas County and training with Job Corps in heavy equipment. He worked in construction.
Mr. Walker was a member of the Washoe Tribe. He enjoyed being around people and sharing his witty personality.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
Among his survivors are his father; sister LaVelle Walker; brothers Charles Walker Jr. and Waldo Walker; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
Burial will take place at the Stewart Cemetery.
FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral home is in charge of arrangements.
