A funeral for Victoria Urionaguena Hellwinkel, 76, a lifelong Gardnerville resident, will be 10 a.m. Friday at St. Gall Catholic Church. A reception will follow a graveside service in Fredricksburg, Calif.

Mrs. Hellwinkel died Jan. 22, 2007, in Carson City. She was born Nov. 28, 1930, in Susanville, Calif., to Victor and Clara Urionaguena.

She married Kenneth W. Hellwinkel on March 21, 1954, in Reno.

She attended school in Lassen County and at University of California, Davis. Mrs. Hellwinkel was a lifelong Carson Valley resident who worked in ranching and construction.

She was active in the 4-H, Nevada Cattle Women, also known as the Cowbelles; and Native Daughters of the Golden West. She was a lifelong member of the Douglas County Farm Bureau.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Jess Urionaguena.

Among her survivors are her husband and daughter Francis Pedroarena of Carson Valley; son, Ken Hellwinkel of Trenton, Idaho; and grandchildren Kendra and Kale Hellwinkel of Bozeman, Mont.

Burial will be at the Fredricksburg Cemetery.

Walton's Douglas County Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
