A celebration of life for Rudy L. Sendejas, 76, a 22-year resident of Carson City will be 6 p.m. July 19 at FitzHenry's Funeral Home. A gathering will follow at the funeral home.
Mr. Sendejas died July 5, 2007, at home.
He was born Dec. 5, 1930, in Pasadena, Calif., to Raymond Sendejas and Virginia Gutierrez. He married Mary Gregory on Dec. 5, 1981, in Palm Springs, Calif.
Before coming to Carson City, he lived in Palm Springs.
He had 14 years of education and was a surveyor. He served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War. Mr. Sendejas enjoyed golf.
He was preceded in death by his father Raymond Sendejas, daughter Susan and son Edward Brucks.
Among his survivors are his wife, of Carson City; mother and step-father Arthur Gutierrez of Arcadia, Calif.; sons Douglas Sendejas, Guy Nesbitt and Keith Wilson; daughters Loire Sendejas, Elizabeth Sendejas-Buckton, Linda Vasquez, Donna Rocha, Angela Sharp and Judy Sendejas; brother and sister-in-law Ken and Kathee Gutierrez; and brother Tom Molika; 13 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
