Road construction in Carson City for the week beginning Monday:
• Cochise Street between Overland Street and Appion Way will be closed for construction until approximately Aug. 6. A detour will be available on Voltaire Street.
• Work will continue on the Saliman Road reconstruction from East Fifth Street to Long Street. Traffic will be maintained with one lane in each direction. Some temporary closures of the intersecting side streets will be required. Watch for the detour signs.
• The annual slurry-seal project continues in three areas of the city. Watch for notices regarding limited street closures.
• Due to the construction of the new Sheriffs Administration Building, Harbin Avenue is closed to traffic between Musser and Second streets. This closure will remain in effect until September.
