BAC members meet


The Brewery Arts Center will hold its annual membership meeting at 6:30 p.m. today in the BAC Ballroom. Members and guests are invited to come and learn about recent and upcoming activities at the BAC.

Dog obedience classes start Tuesday at Fuji


Need help in establishing good conduct and curbing bad habits in your canine friend? Guy Yeaman will help you teach your dog to obey commands such as: heel, sit, stay, stand and recall.


The next session begins Tuesday at Fuji Park Exhibit Hall at 6:30 p.m. Cost for the six-week session is $75.

Charter school to host open house and barbecue

Bookstore to open for Potter's midnight release


Harry Potter fans take note! Sundance Bookstore, 1155 W. Fourth St., Reno, will open Saturday at one minute past midnight for the final Potter-book event.


Buy or pick up your copy of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," and be entered into a raffle.


There will be lots of prizes as well as a special prize for the best costume (must be present to win.) Curiously twisted treats will be served.


Ten percent of the proceeds from the sale of "Deathly Hallows" will be donated to The Food Bank of Northern Nevada.
