Drivers should expect delays and a detour today if they attempt to travel through the east portion of Fifth Street, according to Carson City Public Works.
A project to relocate sewer and water lines for the next segment of the Carson City freeway from Highway 50 East to Fairview Drive requires digging in the intersection of Butti Way and Fifth Street from 6 a.m. to midnight.
Alternate routes for those seeking to go through that section of Fifth Street would be to Saliman Road to Highway 50 East or Fairview Drive.
