Joan L. Knoll, 72, died July 15, 2007, in Carson City. She was a resident of Carson City for 25 years, moving from Zephyr Cove.
She was born July 13, 1935, to Edward and Natalie Lewis, in Altman Pa. She married P. Melvin Knoll in 1982 at Lake Tahoe. Mrs. Knoll was a nurse.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1997, son Ernest F. Neumann III of Bishop Calif., in 1997.
Among her survivors are sons, Brad A. and Jonathan C. Neumann; sister Gloria Paulsen; niece, Pam Teske; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A celebration of life will be at a later date. Donations may be made to the Carson Tahoe Cancer Center.
Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
