Western's Peace Officer Academy Cadets to Graduate

Months of hard work, studying and physical training will pay off at 4 p.m. Wednesday when 17 Western Nevada State Peace Officer Academy graduates will be honored in a commencement ceremony at Western Nevada College's Sarah Winnemucca Hall, 2201 West College Parkway.

The 2007 academy graduates include students from throughout the region:

Carson City - Vanessa Adrian, Lizbet Hub-Aguayo, Joseph Elefante, Bodie Golla, Christopher Ramos, Robert Scott, Tiffany Shore, Zack Westbrook and Jeremy Williams

Dayton - Craig Erven, Sean Palamar and Justin Ryba

Fallon - Albert Sevier II

Gardnerville - Brian Auchenbach

Minden - Tim Strobel and Ryan Young

Reno - Dave Pennington

Cadets who successfully complete the program are eligible to take the Peace Officer Standards and Training exam and can apply for positions in law enforcement that require Category I, II, or III certifications.
