Misfits Theater Group Auditions, 7-9 p.m., Dayton Valley Library, 321 Old Dayton Valley Road. We will be casting eight women and four men for acting roles and we seek crew members for assistance with stage work including lighting, sound and props. Comstock Typeslingers and Sagebrush Journalists exhibit, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. daily, Historic Fourth Ward School, 537 S. C St. in Virginia City. The exhibit explores the long tradition of newspaper publishing on the Comstock which is marked by the early typeslingers who later became noted journalists. Call 847-0975.

Dayton Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament, 8 a.m.-4 p.m. at The Dayton Valley Golf and Country Club, 101 Palmer Drive, Dayton. The tournament is a four-person scramble with shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. Includes breakfast, green fees and cart, polo shirt, goodie bag and special prizes. Cost is $110 per golfer.
