Beulah Evelyn "Bea" Hamrick Lewis, 71, a Carson City resident for the past 17 years, died June 5, 2007, in Carson City. She was born April 16, 1936, in Jerryville, W.Va., to Moffat and Esta O'Brien Hamrick.

She married Robert Lewis on Jan. 2, 1988, in Stockton, Calif.

Mrs. Lewis was a caregiver.

She enjoyed her family, friends, fishing, camping and spending time at the Carson Nugget.

She was preceded in death by her husband; brother Ralph Hamrick and sister Mary Baldridge.

Among her survivors are children Pauletta McVinnie of Lodi, Calif., Sandra Wendel of Branson, Mo., and Kenneth Johnson and Victoria Epling, both of Carson City; sister Dorothy Short; brother Avery Hamrick; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

A private celebration of her life will be June 16.
