First Lady highlights Relay for Life

First lady Dawn Gibbons will join Fallon's Dee Gregory today as he begins a 75 mile walk to raise funds for the American Cancer Society.

She will walk with Gregory from the Governor's Mansion to the Capitol building, a distance of about a mile.

The "Relay for Life" is held in 4,800 communities nationwide to raise money for cancer research and honor cancer survivors. He will walk from Carson City to Fallon.

"I applaud Dee's efforts to raise awareness and funding for the American Cancer Society and I look forward to joining him as he begins his 75-mile mission," she said.

He will begin that journey at 8 a.m. today.
