Jack B. Kirk, 90, a Carson City resident for the past eight years, died June 9, 2007, in Carson City. He was born Aug. 8, 1916, in Tooele, Utah, to Edward and Mabel Nielson Kirk.

Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Santa Rosa, Calif.

He married Dorothy Haeffner.

Mr. Kirk was a fixture fabricator for the grocery industry.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II as a member of the Druids. He witnessed Gen. Douglas MacArthur signing the peace agreement ending the war.

Among his survivors are his wife; son Gerald Kirk; grandchildren Stacy and Lance Kirk; great-grandson Kobe Kirk; sister Delores Barlow and a niece and two nephews.

Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory.

FitzHenry's Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
