Maxine Elizabeth Barton, 83, a longtime Yerington resident, died June 17, 2007, at the South Lyon Medical Center, Long Term Care. She was born Sept. 19, 1923, in Iowa Falls, Iowa, to Fred and Mollie Meyer.
She grew up in Iowa Falls and graduated from Iowa Falls High School.
She married Al Barton on Feb. 16, 1963.
She was preceded in death by her husband, sister Dorothy and brother Henry.
Among her survivors are her brother and sister-in-law Leonard and Annabel Meyer; sisters Freda Winter, Mildred Poland, Wilma Wulke and Arlene Smit; sister and brother-in-law Marilyn and Dean Fusman and numerous nieces and nephews.
At her request, no service will be held.
Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Yerington Senior Center, 117 Tilson Way, Yerington 89447.
