Lack of cover leads to arrest

A man who allegedly walked down the street with his penis exposed was arrested Thursday afternoon.

Robert Goodwin, 47, a laborer from Sun Valley, was booked into the Carson City Jail at 5:11 p.m. on suspicion of indecent exposure.

According to the arrest report, a caller reported seeing a man with his genitals hanging out of his pants near the freeway over pass at Old Hot Springs Road.

When the deputy arrived on scene, he saw a vehicle sitting on the side of the road and Goodwin, who was in the passenger seat, matched the description of the suspect.

When questioned, Goodwin allegedly admitted urinating on the side of the road, then walking back to the vehicle with his penis out as a joke.

The witness positively identified Goodwin as the suspect.

"I am positive that is the man I saw with his penis out of his pants," the witness allegedly said.

Goodwin's bail was set at $2,632.
