Donations of clothing and money will be accepted at the Nevada Appeal offices on Mallory Way through March 23 for a Carson City family who lost their home to an electrical fire last week.

The Nevada Appeal will not be able to accept donations of food because there is no way to store it.

James and Christine Thornhill, their adult daughter, adult son, daughter-in-law and four young grandchildren were sharing a townhouse on Brown Street to save money to buy a home.

An electrical fire, believed to have started in wiring above a ceiling fan in the kitchen, destroyed their home.

Everything they owned was lost, including pictures, clothes, shoes, electronics, furniture, dirt bikes, according to Thornhill.

The women's shoe sizes are 7/8, 6.5 and 8.5

The men's shoe sizes are 11 and 10.5
