A celebration of life for Ada Alice Remmel Salz, 83, a 30-year Yerington resident, will be 2 p.m. Friday at the Arrowleaf Country Club, 111 Highway 208 in Yerington.
Mrs. Salz died March 20, 2007, at South Lyon Medical Center. She was born Nov. 5, 1923, in Geyserville, Calif., to Harland B. Remmel and Genevie Wilson Remmel.
She married Joseph Salz on Aug. 24, 1947, in Healdsburg, Calif.
She worked as a registered nurse for 29 years.
She enjoyed playing bridge, golf, piloting planes, fishing, hunting and spending time with friends and at the Yerington Senior Center.
She was preceded in death by a brother.
Among her survivors are her husband of Yerington; son and daughter-in-law Joseph Jr. and Peggy Salz of Enumclaw, Wash.; son John Salz of Sonoma, Calif.; sister Inez Cake of Ukiah, Calif.; and granddaughter Jody Salz of Davis, Calif.
Freitas Rupracht Funeral Home in Yerington is in charge of arrangements.
