A funeral for Norman E. Waller, 84, a three-year Yerington resident, will be 2 p.m. Friday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley in Carson City. Visitation will be 10 a.m. to noon Friday at the chapel.

Mr. Waller died March 19, 2007, in Yerington. He was born April 29, 1922, in Youngstown, Ohio, to James and Dorothea Waller.

Before moving to Yerington, Mr. Waller lived in Rialto, Calif.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

He was a lifelong member of the Telephone Company Pioneers and enjoyed people.

He was preceded in death by daughter Kathy Sue Dayley.

Among his survivors are daughter Karon Cramer of Katy, Texas; sons Norm E. Waller Jr. of Yerington and David Earl Waller of Washington; eight grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren.

Burial will take place at Walton's Carson Gardens Cemetery.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
