Eveline Pickles, 93, a 48-year Dayton resident, died March 17, 2007, in Carson City.

Mrs. Pickles was born Nov. 7, 1913, in Vancouver, British Columbia, to George Tickell and Lillian Parrott.

She married Frank Pickles in 1931 in Vancouver.

Mrs. Pickles enjoyed traveling, gardening and art.

She was preceded in death by her husband and sons Grant and Val Pickles.

Among her survivors are her son Marvin Pickles; daughter Donna Burke of Dayton; sisters Lillian Mullins and Phyllis Fulerton; brothers Bill, Roy and Don Tickell, all of Canada; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Truckee Meadows Cremation and Burial Society is in charge of arrangements.
