A memorial service for Robert Drew Erven, 64, of Carson City, will be 2 p.m. Monday at Hilltop Community Church.
Mr. Erven was born Sept. 11, 1942, in Long Beach, Calif., to William "Bob" and Marion Erven.
He married Christine Wellman on Nov. 28, 1985, in Carson City.
Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Gold Hill, Ore.
He was raised and attended schools in Southern California. He worked as a journeyman machinist and in residential construction, retiring in 2005.
Mr. Erven was a member of the Hilltop Community Church where he served on the administration board and was a member of the choir and an usher.
He enjoyed camping, NASCAR, traveling in his RV and he loved his family.
Among his survivors are his wife; children Jennifer Erven of Washoe Valley, Steven Drew Erven, Mathew Erven, Kimberly Carrubba, and Michael and Erica Carrubba, all of Carson City; parents, of Carson City; brother Steven E. Erven of Dayton; sister Kimberly Nyberg of Bishop, Calif.; four grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Hilltop Community Church or the Carson-Tahoe Cancer Center.
