A memorial service for Anna C. Zimmerman, 73, a 16-year Gardnerville resident, will be 6 p.m. today at Carson Valley United Methodist Church, 1375 Centerville Lane, Gardnerville.
Mrs. Zimmerman died March 27, 2007, at her home. She was born Feb. 24, 1934, in Prescott, Ariz., to Clifford and Ruby Nita McDuff.
Before moving to Gardnerville, Mrs. Zimmerman lived in Torrance, Calif., for 42 years.
She was a college graduate and an administrative assistant with a California school district.
She belonged to the First United Methodist Church of Redondo Beach, Calif., and the Carson Valley United Methodist Church, where she was active in the choir.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Zimmerman, on Sept. 23, 1998.
Among her survivors are her daughter and son-in-law Nita and David Ritchie of Torrance; son Mark Zimmerman; sister Mickey Depriest; four grandchildren and many extended-family members and friends.
Memorial donations may be made to the Carson Valley United Methodist Church.
Capitol City Cremation is in charge of arrangements.
