A visitation for Dorothy J. Hicks, 92, an eight-year Carson City resident, will be 3-7 p.m. today at FitzHenry's Funeral Home. A graveside service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Turlock Memorial Park in Turlock, Calif.
Mrs. Hicks died March 28, 2007, at Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center. She was born June 4, 1914, in Jumbo, Okla., to Mariam Crossland and Josephine Lewis.
She married Otis Hicks on June 5, 1934, in Fayetteville, Ark.
Before moving to Carson City, Mrs. Hicks lived in Delhi, Calif.
She was a cosmetologist.
She was preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers.
Among her survivors are her husband of Carson City; son Otis Hicks Jr. of Carson City; daughters Cinda Wooldridge of Pen Ridge, Ark., and Betty Graves of Delhi; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and numerous extended-family members.
FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
