Frances H. Bonham Walton

Frances H. Bonham Walton, 87, a one-year Stagecoach resident and third-generation Nevadan, died April 24, 2007, at Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno.

Mrs. Walton was born March 30, 1920, in Winnemucca, to Frank H. Bonham and B. Alice Ruf Bonham.

She worked for First National Bank as a teller in Reno and Sparks and with H&R Block as a tax preparer and office manager. She also ran her own income tax consultant business for many years.

She was a Girl Scouts of America troop leader and helped start the Friends of the Dayton Valley Library.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd H. Walton, in 1989; sister Elizabeth M. Pealer in 2005 and one great-grandson, Nathan Smith, in 2006.

Among her survivors are brother Charles A. Bonham; son Frank L. Wickstrom; daughters Helen L. Wickstrom Smith, Elizabeth A. Wickstrom Morris and LaVonne K. Walton Konrardy; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

No services are planned. Burial will be at Mountain View Cemetery with her husband.

Walton Funeral Home in Reno is in charge of arrangements.
