Visitation for Burl Monroe Teehee, 77, a Carson City resident for the past 20 years, will be 3:30-5:30 p.m. today at FitzHenry's Funeral Home.

A funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday at FitzHenry's.

Mr. Teehee died May 12, 2007, in Carson City. He was born Oct. 16, 1929, in Tahlequah, Okla., to Monroe and Kate Teehee.

Before moving to Carson City, he lived in Weimar, Calif.

He married Josie Inman on June 8, 1956, in Reno.

Mr. Teehee was a railroad maintenance worker.

He was a member of Ponderosa Bible Baptist church.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and attending his great-grandchildren's sport functions.

He served in the U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by his wife on Jan. 24, 2006, and granddaughter Tracy Russell on July 5, 1989.

Among his survivors are sons and daughters-in-law Melvin and Virginia Tehee and Danny and TJ Tehee; daughter and son-in-law Sue and Johnny Russell; brothers Marion Teehee and Johnny Teehee; sisters Nadine Armitage, Shirley Schultz, Joan Collins and Linday Rayon; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Burial will be at the Veteran's Cemetery in Fernley.

Memorial contributions may be made to Ponderosa Baptist Church, P.O. Box 21044, Carson City, NV 89721 in memory of Burl Teehee.

FitzHenry's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
