Eunice Artus, 92, a Carson City resident for the past two years, died May 14, 2007, in Carson City. She was born May 23, 1914, in Berkeley, Calif., to Smith and Margaret Baker.

She married Frederick Artus in 1937. He preceded her in death in 1981.

Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Oakland, Calif.

Mrs. Artus graduated from Berkeley High School and San Jose State College.

She was a teacher in public schools for more than 30 years.

She was a member of Epsilon Sigma Alpha, Alpha Delta Kappa and Carson Natives and Newcomers.

Among her survivors are daughter, Christie, of Carson City and grandchildren Nicholas, Alexis and Gregory, all of Reno.

Cremation will be at Walton's Sierra Crematory.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Hospice, 520 W. Sixth St., Reno 89503.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
