14th annual fishing derby on Sunday at Lake Tahoe

The 14th annual Jake's at The Lake charity fishing derby will be held on Sunday, June 3 at Lake Tahoe.

The fisherman with the largest Mackinaw trout will win $1,000. The fisherman with the largest brown trout will win $500. The fisherman with the largest rainbow trout will win $250.

Official weigh-ins will be held in front of Jake's lower lakeside deck.

The registration fee is $50 which includes a derby T-shirt, raffle ticket for many different prizes and a buffet brunch beginning at 11:30 a.m.

Fishing hours are one hour before sunrise until noon.

You can register at Jake's at The Lake or at Pete & Peters Tavern at Tahoe City by 5 p.m. on Saturday, June 2.

All proceeds will go to the Lisa Valenzuela Memorial Scholarship Fund.
