Comet 17P/Holmes, located between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter approximately 150 million miles from the earth, can be seen tonight at Western Nevada College's Jack C. Davis Observatory.

The public is invited after dusk to view the comet and other celestial objects of interest. Admission is free.

The observatory is at 2699 Van Patten Ave. on the northern end of the Carson City campus.
