Deer hunting areas in Western Nevada

Nevada big game management area Nos. 195 (the Virginia City area, northeast of Carson City) and 291 (the Pinenut Mountains area, east of Carson City) both closed to any legal weapon, buck mule deer hunting at sunset on Nov. 30.

Big game management area Nos. 192 (west and south of Carson City) and 194-196 (west and north of Carson City) will open to any legal weapon, buck mule deer hunting on Dec. 21. Those two areas will close on Jan. 1.

Only hunters with deer hunting tags received through the computerized drawing process, earlier this year, are permitted to hunt.
