Gas rates for Sierra Pacific will decrease by about 1 percent a year starting in December.
The Public Utilities Commission approved the cut this week.
According to a commission press release, a typical Sierra residential customer who uses 92 therms of gas a month in the winter will see a monthly bill decrease from $119.42 to $118.
