Thomas Tyler Young passed away peacefully on October 1, 2007, with his wife, Louise, and family at his bed side. He was 79.

Born January 22, 1928 in Bay City, Michigan, Tom moved to Nevada in 1944. Tom graduated from Douglas High School and continued his education at Cal Poly/San Luis Obispo, Ca. On June 26, 1949 Tom married Louise Marie Dreyer and they made their home in Carson City, Nevada. Tom was a charter member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. He became a volunteer Fire Fighter with Warren Engine Company #1 in 1954. Tom was an active member of the Sagebrush and Mountain Quail chapters of the Model "A" Ford Club of America, and the Sagebrush Studebaker Club. Tom volunteered for the City of Carson as the Parking Enforcement Judge.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents Harold and Edwina, his brother Peter, and his sister Ann.

Tom is survived by his wife, Louise; his two sons and their wives, Fred (Dorothy) and Edward (Lori) of Jacks Valley, Nevada; his grandchildren Susan, Adam, Lisa and Christine; great-granddaughter Elizabeth; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews

A Memorial Service will be held on October 6, 2007 at 2 pm, at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 1837 Mountain Street, Carson City, Nevada. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donation's be made in Tom's memory to the Bethlehem Lutheran Church and School. The family will hold a private internment at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Walton's Chapel of the Valley, Carson City.
