RENO " Hug High School, in north Reno, was locked down today after police received a call that a juvenile had a gun and was threatening to shoot up the school, authorities said.

A dispatcher received the call shortly before 8 a.m., before classes had started at Hug High School, said police spokesman Steve Frady.

Reno officers and Washoe County School District police searched the buildings and campus, and no weapons were found, Frady said.

Classes resumed about two hours later, but the campus remained off limits to outsiders.

The school district set up a center at a nearby restaurant for parents who wanted to talk to their children or take them home.

Frady said officers planned to patrol neighborhoods surrounding the school throughout the day.
