Final reminder of turkey shoot

This is a final reminder that the Clear Creek Bowmen, an archery organization in Carson City, will hold its annual turkey shoot on Oct. 21.

Registration will be from 7:30 to 8:45 a.m. Shooting will begin at 9 a.m.

Registration fees are $15 for an individual, $20 for a couple, $25 for a family, $10 for young adults (15-17), $5 for youths (12-14) and free for Cubs (8-11) and Pee Wee (7 and under).

There will be a total of 35 3-D targets, unmarked yardage, two-arrow shoot.

No range finders.

Turkeys will be awarded using the Flight System (7 flights - top 3 in each flight). All Cubs and Pee Wees will receive a game hen.

The location will be the Centennial Park archery range, next to the Centennial Park Golf Course.

Soft drinks and water will be available on the range.

There will be a hamburger ($5) and hot dog ($3.50) lunch, which includes choice of beverage.
