Williams named to head WNC Board of Trustees

Roger Williams, managing partner of Freeman & Williams LLP CPA's in Carson City, has been tapped to lead the Board of Trustees of the Western Nevada College Foundation. Michon Mackedon and Dorothy Timian-Palmer will also join the 34 other board members and officers who help develop funds in support of the college.

Williams is a founding board member of the WNC Foundation and a native Nevadan who graduated from Carson High School and the University of Nevada.

Mackedon, a former professor of English and humanities at Western, was twice named Instructor of the Year and Outstanding Faculty Member. Timian-Palmer serves as president of the Vidler Water Company, a private-sector water resource company based in Carson City.

Tom Metcalf continues on the board as immediate past chairman. Donal Hummer Jr., will serve as chair-elect and Jed Block will become secretary-treasurer.
