Permits will go on sale Saturday for the Nevada Division of State Park's annual wood sale.

The sale starts at 8:30 a.m. at the Carson City State Library and Archives on 100 N.. Stewart St. Permits are $45, cash or check only, per cord and are limited to one cord per address/family.

Amount of wood is limited. About 100 cords/permits are available on a first-come, first-served basis. A mixture of pine and fir, some seasoned and some green, will be scheduled for pickup at Lake Tahoe Nevada State Park at Spooner Lake between Sept. 22 and Sept. 28 and again Oct. 5 through Oct. 9.

The wood will need to be picked up from the park's North Canyon. The wood is in an accessible location, but four-wheel trucks are strongly suggested. The use of trailers is also fine. Most of the wood is in stove lengths although some odd sized and large rounds are possible.
