Juanita A. Chalmers, 98, a 24-year Minden resident died Sept. 16, 2007, at her home. She was born Aug. 4, 1909, to Elliott Nelson Rucker and Ethel Mae Glenn in California.
Mrs. Chalmers worked as a secretary for the Internal Revenue Service.
She enjoyed bowling.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Chalmers, and brothers Otto, Elton, James and E.N. Rucker.
Among her survivors are her sisters-in-law Tina Rucker and Mary Rucker and numerous nieces and nephews.
Capitol City Cremation is in charge of arrangements.
