The Elko County sheriff's office said there were no reports of damage or injuries from a mild earthquake today in northeast Nevada.

The 4.2 temblor hit at 6:16 a.m. and was centered 11 miles northeast of Wells, the National Earthquake Information Center in Golden, Colo., reported.

Located about 60 miles west of the Nevada-Utah line on Interstate 80, Wells was hit by a 6.0 magnitude earthquake on Feb. 21 that damaged hundreds of homes and much of the town's historical district.

There were no injuries.

The region has had hundreds of aftershocks since the February quake.
