Carson City


The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:


• A 19-year-old receiving clerk from Carson City was arrested at 7:54 p.m. in the 900 block of East Musser Street on suspicion of misdemeanor battery. Bail was set at $1,132.


• A 40-year-old cabinet maker from Carson City was arrested at 6:50 p.m. Monday in the 3700 block of South Carson Street on suspicion of obtaining money under false pretenses. He allegedly entered Raley's, selected two packages of markers from the shelf and returned them for $8.12 using a receipt from earlier. The man then allegedly gambled the money at Dotty's.


• A retail stocker from Carson City was arrested at 6:46 p.m. in the 1200 block of East Fifth Street on suspicion of misdemeanor domestic battery. Bail was set at $3,132.


The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Tuesday:


• Threat report in the 1000 block of South Nevada Street at 12:43 a.m.


• Serving trays were stolen from the South Carson Street McDonald's by four white men at 4:48 p.m.


• Movies and a speaker were stolen from the 3000 block of Green Drive sometime before 5:07 p.m. by someone who entered through a broken window.


• Accident at Roop Street and College Parkway at 5:47 p.m.


• Report at 10:23 p.m. of three children in the 1600 block of North Carson Street being cared for by people "that do drugs."


• A 50-year-old man was cited for battery at 2:42 p.m. after he allegedly knocked a 14-year-old girl that lives in his complex to the ground. The man claimed the 14-year-old spit on him after he walked out of his apartment and she told him to put on a shirt and he told her to shut up. The man told police he had no idea the girl was 14 because of her "foul mouth."


Lyon County


The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Tuesday:


• Report of an intoxicated person in possession of a firearm on Soaring Way in Fernley at 4:24 a.m. A misdemeanor arrest was made.


• Coroner call on Dallas Street in Yerington at 8:03 a.m.


• Plywood was stolen from the 200 block of First Street sometime before 1:27 p.m.


• A PlayStation was stolen from a home on North Rainbow Drive in Mark Twain sometime before 2:46 p.m.


• A shed at Fernley High School was burglarized sometime before 4:33 p.m.


• A caller reported her 13-year-old daughter was battered by three girls at Dayton Intermediate School.


• Raymond Carter, 31, was booked into the Lyon County Jail on suspicion of felony child abuse. He allegedly "battered" the 3-year-old son of his roommate, leaving the child bruised, according to Lyon County records.
