Cat and Kitten Adoption at Petco

Wylie Animal Rescue Foundation holds Cat and Kitten Adoption 6-9 p.m., every Friday and 11:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. every Saturday at Petco, 911 Topsy Lane. All ages of cats, spayed/neutered, most shots, some microchipped. Reasonable adoption fees. For information, call 267-2826.

United Methodist hold rummage sale

United Methodist Women of First United Methodist Church will hold their annual rummage sale 8 a.m.-1 p.m., Saturday, 412 W. Musser St. Items for sale include clothes, toys, shoes, books, small electrical appliances, personal and miscellaneous household items. The United Methodist Women are a non-profit organization. Eagles host spaghetti dinner, dessert auction

The Fraternal Order of Eagles, Carson City Aerie No. 1006 and the Women's Auxiliary host a Spaghetti Dinner and Dessert Auction, 6 p.m., Saturday, 1380 E. Fifth Street. $8 per plate, includes salad, bread and coffee. After dinner bid on a variety of homemade desserts. All proceeds donated to local charities helping the American Cancer Fund. Pioneer Family Dance at Brewery Arts Center

Carson Tahoe Cancer Center raffle

Book sale next weekend at library

Celebrating "National Library Week" the Friends of the Carson City Library host a Big Book Sale, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Friday, April 11 and Saturday, April 12. A special preview for members of the Friends of the Library will be 9-10 a.m. Friday. All proceeds will benefit the Carson City Library. The Library is located at 900 N. Roop Street. Humane Society feline adoption special

Until April 13, Nevada Humane Society offers a special rate of just $10 to adopt a feline friend.

Adult cats, are available at this reduced adoption fee. Every cat is spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, a $200 value. Visit the Nevada Humane Society, 2825 Longley Lane, Reno. For information, call 856-2000.

Also, for a limited time, Nevada Humane Society will spay or neuter your cat for a special low price. Female cats will be spayed for $24 or your male cat will be neutered for $18, including vaccinations.
